In our film/Trailer Richard was the stalker and murderer, he was friends with Rebecca's character, the unnamed victim. Rebecca's character was besotted with Richard, and thought he felt the same way towards her. However, when Rebecca's character shares her feelings, Richard doesn't react in the same mannor as he then pushes her into a lake, which results in her drowning and dying. Then Rachel's character, again unnamed, moves into Rebecca's old house. Richard, who lives next door, sees Rachel as another potential victim, and begins stalking her. In the trailer, it is not explained why the occupier of that house is Richard's victims. It is then that Rebecca's character returns to her house, as a ghost, attempting to warn Rachel's character away from Richard.
